Work with Connected Families Counseling

You became a therapist because you care about people. You strive to help people heal. When you are a therapist with our practice, you truly feel valued and supported.

Connected Families Counseling is a thriving private practice in Kearney, MO, dedicated to delivering high-quality therapy services to our community. We believe in creating a space where therapists feel valued, supported, and empowered to focus on what they do best—helping clients heal and grow.

We are currently seeking a fully licensed mental health therapist to join our growing team. We typically fill a new therapist's caseload within 1–2 months of onboarding!

Why Join Connected Families Counseling?

At Connected Families Counseling, we put our therapists first. We understand that a supportive environment, true work/life balance, and opportunities for professional growth are key to your long-term success and satisfaction. Here's what sets us apart:

  • Supportive Leadership: No micromanagement or unnecessary busywork—just a team that values your clinical expertise and contributions.

  • Work/Life Balance: Enjoy flexible scheduling with no on-call shifts. Design a schedule that supports your personal life and energy.

  • Focus on Your Passions: Work with the populations and presenting issues that you care most about (e.g., trauma, grief, anxiety, etc.). We do our best to match your caseload to your clinical interests.

What We Offer (W-2 Employment Benefits)

As a W-2 employee, you'll enjoy the stability and protections of employment—not a contractor setup. That means:

  • Taxes are handled for you (no quarterly payments or self-employment taxes)

  • Employment protections under labor laws

  • Consistent income and eligibility for bonuses and paid time off

  • Company-provided marketing, billing, and administrative support—so you can focus on therapy, not logistics

Compensation & Perks

  • Flexible Scheduling: You set your hours (Monday–Sunday, 8 AM–9 PM), and we’ll fill your caseload within those windows.

  • Beautiful Office Space: Fully furnished, professional, and comfortable—with all supplies provided.

  • Marketing Provided: We work hard to fill your caseload efficiently.

  • Admin Support: Referrals, scheduling, and billing are all managed for you.

  • Professional Development: Annual stipend for trainings and CEUs.

  • Paid Holidays

  • Bonuses & Incentives: Bonuses for extra sessions, plus pay for late cancellations and no-shows.

Work Setting

  • Location: In-person at our Kearney, MO office

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field

  • Licensure: Active Missouri license (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT)

  • Availability: Minimum of 24 billable hours/week (part-time with option to grow into full-time). Most caseloads are full within 1–2 months of start date.

What You'll Love About Working Here

  • Independence in your clinical work with full team support

  • A relaxed but professional work culture

  • A focus on reducing therapist burnout through smart systems and reasonable expectations

  • A mission-driven practice that’s truly client- and clinician-centered
